PERSONAL INJURY Guidelines

Photograph The Evidence Before It's Gone!

If you are involved in an accident, its a good idea to photograph the damage to the vehicles, the position of the vehicles immediately after the collision (before the vehicles have been moved off the road), location of the accident, traffic signs, road or lane markings, and skid marks (if applicable).  If the accident was caused by a dangerous condition, try to photograph the conditions as soon after the accident as possible.

Remember that it is virtually impossible to obtain accurate photographs when the passage of time after the accident has resulted in faded skid marks, repaired, discarded or salvaged vehicles, missing, removed, or replaced traffic signs, repaired defects, replaced sidewalks, or repaved or reconfigured roads.

Photograph  Visible Injuries

Obviously, internal injuries cannot be photographed.  However, photographs should be taken promptly after the accident, in order to document the location and extent of your visible injuries, such as:  lacerations (cuts), whether or not stitches are required, bruises, abrasions, black and blue discolorations, swelling, burns, etc.   Some photographs should be full length views that include your face.  Others should be close-ups showing details of your injuries.  Follow-up photographs should be taken periodically.

Legal Representation

We are confident that if you retain our law firm to represent you, you will be fully satisfied with our caring and conscientious legal representation.  We handle injuries caused by various types of accidents, including the following:  motor vehicle accidents (auto, bus, train and hit & run accidents), including uninsured and under-insured motorist claims, premises (trip & fall) accidents caused by defective conditions, improper maintenance, repair or cleaning, overcrowding, insufficient supervision, improper security, etc.,  construction site accidents (including falls from defective ladders and scaffolding; accidents involving defective hoists; accidents caused by dangerous construction site conditions, or other unsafe working conditions; violations of worker safety rules including OSHA; and other accidents occurring at construction sites), and accidents caused by defective products.
